Minor slubs, streaks and other visual imperfections are natural characteristics of shantung silk and should not be considered defects. This is a fine shantung silk. Shantung is a fabric with a surface that can be ribbed. The surface may vary from coarse to fine depending on the fibers used to create the fabric. Fibers used to weave shantung fabrics may have knots, and bumps, creating a texture which is part of its charm. It's not a flaw.

If you are ordering either the pre-tied or clip-on style, the finished tie is fixed, and you don't have the option of tying it two different ways. So when you are checking out, please indicate in the comment section which fabric you would like featured (the fabric which will be predominant), and which fabric you would like used to make the very center of the bow.

No problem! Since I make each tie to order, please just mention your neck size in the comment section while you are checking out. I will cut your band length longer so that you will have plenty of room to comfortably tie/wear your bow tie.
