100% Habotai silk scarf is whisper light, soft, and comfortable to wear. It comes in two sizes, Both sizes will compliment an outfit without overpowering it. The design is strong on both sides, though there is a definite 'right' side to the scarf.
If you'd prefer the water be represented by just blue and without depth numbers shown on a nautical chart, you might want to check out my topographical map scarf. If you want to feature an inland location, you will definitely want a topographical map scarf.
Scarf Origin Story
After designing hundreds of pieces of neckwear—and lots and lots of face masks back in 2020 and 2021—featuring specific locations on nautical charts, it was only natural to offer the same design process in a silk scarf. I'm not a sailor, and though I live in Kennebunk, a coastal town in Maine, I don't spend much time at the water. Ever since I started designing neckwear for customers featuring chosen locations on nautical charts, I've come to really appreciate the art of the chart!
•I will be donating 10% of the profits from every Nautical Chart scarf to Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI). WHOI is the world's leading, independent non-profit organization dedicated to ocean research, exploration, and education.
•To reduce waste, I have each scarf printed to order. I will have it in the mail to you about a week after I receive your order if it's for a scarf that is already designed, or about a a week after you and I agree on the final version of your scarf design.
